Lakeview Dairy History

In the fall before the year 1957 five brothers, 2 at home on the family farm in Devils Lake, 2 in California, working construction, and one finishing up his term in the Army, decided to pool their resources and started a family business and Mertens Brothers Lakeview Dairy was born !

All the Mertens were familiar with the dairy business as their parents had raised 14 children on the farm through the bleak depression years. Their main source of income was from a herd of 35 dairy cattle.
